Süleyman Akgün started the success story in 1925 by creating Akgün Group which has an important place in Turkey's economy with its production, exports, employment figures, the size and competitive strength in world market.
As of 1975 by Veli Akgün's investment in mechanization, he established Akgün Brick Factory.
In 2005, Erhan Akgün took over the flag of leading Akgün Group to make it one of the most powerful groups in Turkey, started investments in building materials, automotive, insurance, logistics, and oil production therefore managed growth in both exports and employment in the field.
Today Akgün Group exports its products to 45 countries with 4000 employees and 11 factories. America, Germany, England, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Bulgaria, and neighboring countries, African countries, and Middle East area are the main areas which we export. AKGÜN CERAMİC
Pazaryeri/Bilecik Granite Ceramic Factory
Having been commissioned in 2001 in Pazaryeri/Bilecik, our Granite Ceramic factory, covering 67.000 m² covered area on a land of 480.000 m², is one of the youngest and newset manufacturing facilities within the industry which manufactures granite ceramic tiles as well as accessories such as stair treads, skirting, netted decors, borders under the registered tramemark "DURATILES".
İnönü/Eskişehir Ceramic Factory
Our ceramic factory commissioned in 2009 at district of Eskişehir, İnönü, has over 150,000 m² land with a 55.000 m² closed area and working with a 9.000.000 m² / year production capacity, producing porcelain tiles and glazed ceramic floor wall kits.
Gediz/Kütahya Ceramic Factory
Our ceramic factory commissioned in 2010 at district of Kütahya, Gediz, has over 125,000 m² land with a 30.000 m² closed area and working with a 5.500.000 m² / year production capacity, producing porcelain tiles and glazed ceramic floor wall kits.
Söğüt /Bilecik Ceramic Factory
Our ceramic factory commissioned in 2010 at district of Bilecik, Söğüt, has over 240,000 m² land with a 25.000 m² closed area and working with a 8.000.000 m² / year production capacity, producing porcelain tiles - granite and glazed ceramic floor wall kits.
AKGÜN FURNITURE
Sakarya Bathroom Cabinet Factory
Manufacturing bathroom cabinets under DURABAGNO Brand within Adapazari facilities since 2002, Akgün Furniture renders its services with total 30 models and 100 different colouralternatives. Akgün Furniture produces total annual 40.000 units within total 9.000 m² covered area with 70 qualified workers and by using first-class materials. Our manufacturing standards has been implemented in compliance with TSE (Turkish Standards Institute) and ISO Quality Management System. Each and every production process is controlled by authorized engineer.
AKGÜN SANITARYWARE
Staring its operations in Adapazari in 1996, Akgün Vitrifiye has a workforce consisting of total 130 employees. The products are sold via around 500 sales points throughout Turkey. Akgun Vitrifiye and its DuraBagno brand, is one of the leading manufacturers in sanitary ware sector with its 45.000 sets/month production capacity. Akgün Vitrifye is one of the largest manufacturer of our country with its total 10.000 m² covered production area. All Durabagno products offers 10 years warranty. With its current capacity, Akgun Vitrifiye covers 5% of total sanitaryware supply in Turkey. Akgün Vitrifiye makes its investments by its own funds and resources. Akgün Vitrifye exports 30% of its total production to 20 countries. The capacity will be expanded to 150.000 pcs/month with new investments.
Sakarya Sanitaryware Factory
Our sanitary ware factory is commissioned in 2008, Sakarya, has 60,000 m² land area with 10,000 m² closed area and has a production capacity of over 40,000 pcs / month and producing ceramic sanitary ware and display case.
Eskişehir Sanitaryware Factory
Our sanitary ware factory is commissioned in 2010, Eskişehir, has 20,000 m² land area with 8,000 m² closed area and has a production capacity of over 30,000 pcs / month and producing ceramic sanitary ware and display case.
AKGÜN ROOF TILE
Akgün Roof Tile factory has a 25.000.000 pcs total annual capacity and manufactures 6 different roof tile models. Our facility is the third largest plant with such capacity. İzmit White Brick Factory
Commissioned in 1985 our brick factory in Sakarya, has 70.000 m² of land and 25.000 m² closed area with a production capacity of 130,000 pieces / day and producing insulation bricks.
İzmit Ünak Brick Factory
Commissioned in 1978 our brick factory in Sakarya, has 17.000 m² land and closed area of 5,000 m², with a production capacity of 50,000 pcs / day and produces bricks of 8.5 - 13.5.
DURA-KİM
Bilecik/Söğüt Construction Chemicals Factory
Commissioned in 2009 our brick factory in Bilecik, has 3.000 m² of land and 3.000 m² closed area with a production capacity of 400 ton / day and produces ceramic and granite mortars and grouting materials.
AKGÜN FORD
Akgün Ford , has been operating within automotive industry since 1985. Aiming to grow, expand and develop since its foundation date, the company brought the first FORD Plaza in Turkey with 10.000 m² covered area on a total land of 25.000 m² as 3S (Sales-Service-SpareParts) dealer in 1993, into the service. Akgün Ford, as within the top 5 Ford distributors in the country, reaches around 30 mio $ annual turnover.
